Job description: Community Psychiatric Nurse, Band 6.

Vacancy working within the Home Treatment Team, based in Chertsey. Working in a community setting with older adults who have mental health illness.

A CPN is needed to join a busy team, working in the home treatment with older adults who are experiencing an acute mental health crisis.

The candidate will provide a service to the people who are experiencing mental health problems that are in crisis or would perhaps require hospital admission. The role involves assessing, supporting and treating the patients. The candidate will be fully responsible for carrying out full clinical and risk assessment and be sensitive to their patient's needs whilst reporting the risk to senior staff where necessary.
High quality care and ensuring standards are the highest possible, are crucial.

The role is a full time NHS contract of minimum 3 months with long days and night shifts required to be worked.
The rates for the role are:
Monday - Friday daytime hours £25p/h ltd.
Saturdays and nights £30 p/h ltd
Sundays and bank holidays £33 p/h ltd.

Candidates must be a qualified RMN with a valid NMC Pin, and must have previous experience working in a community setting. Experience working within an HTT service would be beneficial, but is not essential.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to manage their own caseload, and to be able to produce complex care plans that can be used to aid patient recovery. The ability to work autonomously and under pressure is essential.
