Job description: We are looking for Band 6/7 Community Psychiatric Nurses (CPN) for a fantastic opportunity to join a specialist Mental Health PEWS service based in Rochford within the NHS.

Applicant must be a car driver as you will need to travel to other sites.

Temporary pay rate:
*Band 6: £24ph
*Band 7: £30ph
Hours and length of contract:
*Full time 37.5 hours per week
*Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00
*The manager is looking for the position to be filled ASAP with an initial 3 month contract length.

Daily Duties:
The team offers support for people women in the Antenatal and Postnatal period to promote positive emotional wellbeing during pregnancy as well as offering support to women who have pre-existing mental health issues, which may place them at a higher risk of experiencing emotional symptoms during pregnancy and after birth.
The service aims to prevent:
*Postnatal depression

You will be working alongside Midwives, Health Visitors, GP's and other integrated services to provide the best quality of care for the individual.

Holding a caseload of patients you will undertake holistic community assessments with a strong emphasis on the parent-infant relationship and safeguarding and you will provide a variety of therapeutic interventions including supportive therapy, psychosocial interventions, specialist medication advice and problem solving techniques.

You will also be responsible for the administration, carriage and storage of medications in accordance with the relevant legal frameworks and Trust policies as appropriate to the post holder's profession.

Requirements: The successful candidate must have at least 3 years' experience in an NHS adult community mental health service, ideally including Crisis Assessment /Home Treatment Services.

Person specification:
The applicant must be DBS cleared and have previous experience in the field.
