Job description: We are looking for a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) for a fantastic opportunity to join a specialist Mental Health Service based in Rayleigh, within the NHS.

Applicant must drive and have access to a car.

Temporary pay rate: £25ph ltd (+£150 NEW NURSE SIGN UP BONUS)

Hours and length of contract:
*The service operates a Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00.
*The manager is looking for the position to be filled ASAP with an initial 3-month contract length.

Daily Duties:
You will be working as a First Response Assessor for the Wellbeing and Recovery Team managing a defined caseload of service users to provide high quality, evidence-based, holistic nursing care to patients and therefore team working skills are essential.

The team offers therapeutic interventions for people with:
*Depression and related disorders
*Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
*Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)

The service treats people 14 days following a referral from their GP as well as within 1 day for urgent cases and the team is responsible for the service user's care for up to six months dependant on the rate of recovery.

You will participate in the initial assessment and selection of potential clients and formulate care plans to manage and minimise risk. You will provide advice and information to service users, their carers and their families in order to alleviate distress and work in partnership, as far as possible, with all the available support systems.

Person specification:
The applicant must be DBS cleared and have previous experience in the field.
