Job description: Service Care Legal are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority who are seeking a Complaints Officer to join their legal department. Below is further information with regards to the position.

ROLE:Complaints Officer
RATE:£20.00 to £23.95 per hour
CONTRACT:Jan 2020 start, 12 weeks ongoing

The Role

*To ensure that the Directorate meets its statutory duties and responsibilities in respect of complaints in line with current legislation
*To improve the consistency, effectiveness and efficiency of the Council's Corporate and Statutory Complaints service
*To promote good customer services and provide a timely and resolution-focused approach to complaints
*To act as the authority's Complaints Officer for the purposes of the Local Authorities' Social Services Complaints and Children Act

The Person

*To have at least 1 years' worth of experience within a local council's legal department
*To have a proven track record of effectively dealing with complaints
*Someone with strong communication skills and a team player
