Job description: Role: Conference Sales and Events Coordinator
Location: Camden, NW1
Work pattern: 35 hrs, Mon-Fri, 09:00 - 17:00
Start date: ASAP
End date: Permanent

I looking for somebody who is keen to start their career in sales, working for a company which provides support to thousands of people in their local community. You will be working as a sales and events coordinator within the Social Mobility Department and helping to deliver their ambitious corporate plan relating to social mobility and aspiration. As the Sales and Events Co-ordinator you will be the main point of contact for conference centre customers in order to deliver professional conference and meeting events. You will be responsible for selling conference spaces to prospective customer. You will be given tools and training for this role but it is vital that you are able to work using your own initiative. Occasional evening and weekend work will be needed.

Key Responsibilities
*To present and sell the company conference centre event packages effectively to external customers to maximise event revenues.
*You will operate as the main contact point during internal and external events.
*You will source new business via cold calls, strategic marketing, direct mail and canvassing campaigns.
*You will maintain a high level of product knowledge and awareness of the company's products and packages.
*You will ensure smooth running of the venue, liaising with contractors and suppliers, ensure that all venue bookings are administered and all appropriate equipment, catering and signage is in place.
*You will input all inquiries onto the Rendezvous booking system.
*You will record all financial information relating to conference bookings on the appropriate spreadsheet.

*Proven sales skills in order to drive an increase in venue bookings.
*Planning and delivering events or large meetings within a commercial setting.
*Ability to communicate and engage with customers, colleagues and partners effectively both verbally and in writing.
*Willingness to work flexible hour's dependant on the business needs.
*Excellent administration, organisational and IT skills including Microsoft packages.
*Relevant Level 3 qualification or relevant experience.
*Certified First Aid at work.
*IOSH Managing Safely and working safely.
