Job description: Service Care Solutions are seeking to recruit a Content Designer to work for a client based in Portishead.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the quality, organisation and accuracy of content on the force website and intranet. They will ensure the content of the force website is accurate and structured to meet user needs. This will include checking for grammar, spelling mistakes and broken hyperlinks. Achieve this through continual review of content and through the use of monitoring software.

Key responsibilities:

-To add new content and maintain existing content on the police website/intranet, including text, images, other files types (eg PDF documents) and hyperlinks.
-Review website analytics in order to produce monthly Management Information reports to give an understanding of the areas of demand on the website and organisation.
-To liaise with personnel within the constabulary to ensure content on the force website/intranet is up-to-date and accurate. Offer advice to these individuals on how the content should be compiled.
-To monitor and, when required, moderate forums both internally on the intranet and externally on the force website.
-Provide user feedback to development team regarding the general day to day use of the website/intranet system.
-To act as a first point of contact for all other website/intranet users. Assist with their enquiries and investigate or escalate as necessary
-Have a high level overview and understanding of all website/intranet system features in order to address user enquiries from a wide range of departments effectively.
-To add and format feature items on the force website/intranet homepage for the Corporate Communications department. Carry out web page formatting (using knowledge of HTML and CSS), image manipulation and the embedding of media items.

The successful candidate will be subjected to security vetting, therefore must have resided in the UK for the previous 5 years.
