Job description: A Housing Association based in Nottinghamshire is looking for a Senior Commercial Contracts Manager to join their team. This is a full permanent position and the successful candidate must have experience in a similar managerial role, a HNC/Degree level qualification or Chartered status in a relevant discipline covering Building or Construction and ideally previous experience in a Housing Association setting.

The main purpose of the role is to support the Assistant Director of Commercial Services in the delivery of commercial reactive repairs, planned works, projects and commercial contracts.

The main responsibilities associated with this role are as follows;

Overseeing 2 contract managers
Overseeing up to 24 staff, £10M in budget
Manage individual commercial reactive repairs and project works
Assessing problems and the potential for improvements, negotiating with team members, elected members, senior management and other stakeholders including leaseholders.
To support commercial teams by helping with the coordination and input of all those involved in the design and implementation of commercial reactive repairs and project works and monitor including designers, planners, quantity surveyors and outside agencies and actively engaging in all client design issues/sub contract elements of contracts, from pre-tender through to completion
To plan, co-ordinate and develop consultation and publicity on commercial reactive repairs and project works ensuring that all relevant stakeholders are involved.
Including carrying out operational delivery with a focus on community involvement, including the delivery of local jobs and training opportunities.
To assess the problems and the potential for improvement and value engineering within identified target areas by undertaking research, consultation and liaison with stakeholders, including external agencies.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following attributes/experience;

Demonstrable technical and practical experience of working in the construction sector including project management of schemes from inception to completion.
Experience of managing the delivery of commercial building works/projects and managing budgets.
Demonstrable experience of working with project managers, valuation surveyors, architects, quantity surveyors and specialist consultants to deliver projects to time and on budget.
Demonstrable experience of supervising contractors and construction work and administering both standard building contracts and bespoke contracts and of managing Design and Build and Traditional contracts, Design Development and project processes.
Proven track record of management experience in leading a high performing teams and successful project delivery.

The client is looking to move quickly in appointing to this position, as such is offering a very competitive annual salary of £40,760 - £43,662 (dependant on skills/qualifications) along with an excellent benefits package.
