Job description: LEGAL SECRETARY

Location: Rochdale
Job Type: Permanent
Area of expertise: Conveyancing
Salary: £17,000+

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within an established and growing firm based in the North West. The Firm is a forward-looking organisation with a reputation for quality legal services. You will be working with one of the Firm's Partners in the conveyancing department to provide secretarial and fee earning support.

*Produce accurate correspondence and legal documentation via audio and copy typing in accordance with the Firm's guidelines including legal forms, documents and letters.
*Make proper use of contract packs
*Complete SDLT and TR1 forms
*Conduct pre-contract and closure searches at the Land Registry
*Liaise with clients
*Conduct a certain amount of fee earning in relation to conveyancing
*Respond to telephone enquiries and manage fee earner diaries and transport and accommodation using Microsoft Outlook.
*Adherence to good administration including filing, production of bills, producing legal bundles and presentations, marketing and business development.
*Develop relationships with clients and their support staff.
*Support and offer guidance to other team members.
*Review efficiency of procedures and suggest improvements.
*At least 3 years' experience in residential conveyancing
*Experience and knowledge of residential conveyancing essential.
*Proactive and enthusiastic.
*Client-focused and solution-orientated.
*Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise.
*Team player
*Ability to use different case management systems and learn unfamiliar ones quickly.
