Job description: Service Care Solutions are seeking a Correspondence officer to work for a client in Liverpool.

The post holder must have experience of dealing with correspondence and complaints within a statutory framework, preferably in a political setting.

Main Responsibilities:
- To be responsible for the OPCC's correspondence handling system.
- To manage all aspects of complaints received, including those against the Chief
Constable, in compliance with legislation.
- To manage all Freedom of Information requests and correspondence received by the Office efficiently and effectively.
- To develop and maintain an efficient and effective correspondence handling system for the OPCC.
- To ensure that all correspondence is logged and tracked and dealt with swiftly. To develop and maintain a system for tracking cases where advice is required, to ensure that these
are dealt with, and that contact with the correspondent is maintained
- To develop and maintain a filing system so that files are created for
correspondents, which contain the history of all correspondence with
them, and to include any materials that the correspondent may have
referred to in their letter.
- To ensure that this is given to the Commissioner with any correspondence.
- To provide draft replies for the Commissioner to correspondence which are of high quality, which answer the question posed, and which are non-bureaucratic.

This is a police-based role, so applicants will be subject to police security checks.

Candidates must have resided in the UK for at least the last 5 years.

It is advised that applicants have a clean DBS/CRB within the last 3 years.
