Job description: COVID-19 Support Officer needed for Wokingham Borough Council, up to £20.89 ltd an hour depending on experience

Start Date- ASAP
Contract End date- 3 months initially
Hours per week - 37
Pay rate - up to £20.89 ltd per hour depending on experience
Team - Adult's Social Care
Location - Wokingham

The Adult Social Care COVID 19 Task Force has been set up in response to the evolving situation with Coronavirus in the UK. The primary function of the service, is to work collaboratively with customers, partners and other stakeholders to;
*mitigate that impact on wellbeing of essential measures such as social distancing and quarantining of vulnerable adults
*reduce the likelihood of outbreaks of COVID-19 in services and
*to coordinate the outbreak control plan where outbreaks do occur in services
To be responsible for a portfolio of providers, consisting of but not limited to; residential homes, nursing homes, day services, domiciliary care agencies, respite settings, supported accommodation, transport provision, voluntary sector activities and supported employment. The role will involve the development of effective relationships with the portfolio in order to be the single point of contact and conduit for delivery of proactive advice, guidance and problem-solving both in relation to service delivery as a whole, but also in respect of supporting effective, person-centred decisions around individual customers and their support networks.

What is required?
Grade 6: - Experience of working in a Health or Adult Social Care setting. Basic Knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act 2005. Customer Care Skills. Effective Communication.

Grade 7: Qualified Social Worker, OT or Nurse OR extensive experience of working in a similar setting. Robust knowledge and demonstrable experience of implementing practice, the Mental Capacity Act 2005. Proven competencies appropriate to this level. Willingness to take on extra duties commensurate with this grade.
