Job description: Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) in Luton to provide support with the Current LADO

You will need To Chair Reviews of Looked After Children Reviews and Child Protection Conferences as required in statute.

To be jointly responsible for the maintenance of a system to ensure that reviews of Looked After Children and Child Protection Conferences are completed within statutory timescales and to high standards.

To contribute to the development and quality assurance of service standards in the field of Looked After Children and children subject to Child Protection Plans.

For this position, you must have -
*A degree or masters in Social Work (or any other recognised equivalent qualification)
*HCPC registration
*Very recent IRO / Conference Chair experience

The role will include giving an independent oversight and quality assurance of Child Protection planning (including chairing of child protection conferences), and for Looked After Children ensuring that the child's interests are promoted throughout.

Experience as an IRO / Child Protection Conference Chair is a distinct advantage.
