Job description: Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Cyber Security Manager to work in Thurrock or Colchester on a Permanent contract for the NHS.

(Travel required initially but mostly remote based at the moment due to the pandemic.)

Hours
Full time Monday to Friday 9-5

Salary
£38,890 to £44,503

Job Summary
Supporting the Trust in relation to all aspects of Cyber Security.
A service manager to a Cyber Security team, delivering leadership, direction and
supervision.
Possess a high level of understanding in relation to the cyber security requirements
within the NHS.
Technically competent in the given technology field(s) relating to Cyber Security to
aid in the preventative maintenance of all Trust systems and services.
Takes responsibility for the provision, management and security of all Cyber Security
toolsets used to protect the Trust. These services include but are not limited to AntiVirus technologies, patch deployment technologies, firewalls etc.
The post holder will participate in the project delivery responsibilities for the Cyber
Security aspects of IT&T Services working closely with the Head of Infrastructure,
Cyber & Systems and Project Managers.

Key Responsibilities
Accountable for the recording and remediation of all Cyber Security related
incidents.
Customer facing; empathise with users, good interpersonal skills, display active
listening skills, polite telephone manner, courteous
Accountable for ensuring cyber security is appropriately embedded within all
technical projects.
Business awareness; display a working understanding of the trust and an
appreciation of the business applications
Proven leadership of a technical team to be both a technical escalation point for
direct reports and a management escalation point for strategic and operational
decisions.
Ability to manage conflict and mediation both inside the team and between
teams/services
Logistical; articulate and methodical, analytical, numerate and literate, work
well under pressure, good time manager, good team worker, ability to multitask.

Technical Skills
Maintain nationally recognised Cyber Security qualifications, keeping abreast of the
ever evolving Cyber Security world.
To maintain relationships with interfacing business functions and other IT functions
To implement escalation procedures as appropriate
To achieve maximum personal KPIs
To assist the team in achieving the targets set.
To take responsibility for identifying the cyber security requirements for efficient and
cost-effective IT services, having particular regard for the need to ensure that the
reliability and resilience of such services is consistent with the clinical and business
continuity requirements of the Trust and their providers.
To develop, test and improve the performance of the IT Service Continuity, disaster
recovery systems and processes and ensure adherence to the processes developed.
To investigate new technologies and advise the Head of Infrastructure, Cyber &
Systems on how the Trusts Cyber Security can be improved.
To manage the provision of appropriate intrusion detection and prevention systems
to identify and prevent ongoing and developing threats to the availability and
performance of the Network Infrastructure.
Experience of DevOps Strategy, Desktop Automation, O365, Azure and Power
Platform.
