Job description: I am currently recruiting for a Data Analyst based for Hertfordshire county council based at Hertford hall.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Families First Evaluation & Development Team undertakes data gathering and analysis as part of its role to inform the development of early help services across Hertfordshire and to meet the requirements of the Government's Troubled Families programme.

The Performance and Information Analyst is required to use large volumes of complex data and other intelligence from a wide variety of sources (including from a number of different partners) to enable these requirements to be met. The level of accuracy is critical as the work is subject to internal and central Government audit as part of the process that leads to payments being drawn down by Government for payment by results.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Working within the Families First Evaluation & Development Team and reporting to the Evaluation and Development Manager:

1.To research and collect information from a variety of internal and external sources to evidence that services are delivering outcomes for families.
2.To extract and manipulate information from internal and external data systems from which information is sourced.
3.Establish and build effective working relationships with partner organisations, in order to improve the sharing of appropriate information that evidences the Troubled Families programme. 4.Maintain an understanding of the function and services carried out within social care.
5.Develop data processes that meet the principles of the Government's Troubled Families Financial Framework so that agreed targets and timelines are met.
6.Lead on specified areas of data development work.
