Job description: Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a de-brief coordinator to work in the Missing Persons Unit for Merseyside Police.

The aim of the role is to improve the quality of Missing from Home return interviews in order to assist in the effective protection of children and vulnerable persons.

Main Responsibilities:

-To support the process of intelligence gathering and the flow of information in relation to CE and MFH by ensuring that best practice is shared in order to maximise the number of return interviews completed.
-To participate in meetings as appropriate in order to assist in the effective protection of children and vulnerable persons.
-Take responsibility for ensuring that return interview actions are followed up effectively and in a timely manner, ensuring that the correct information is passed to the relevant agencies in a consistent way across each of the five areas in Merseyside.

Person Criteria:

-The candidate must have a detailed understanding of all relevant legislation particularly the force Missing Person and Child Sexual Exploitation policy and procedures.
-A good knowledge of Child Abduction Warning Notices, how to implement and record them including knowledge of Child Abduction Act 1984, Children Act 1989 is essential.
-An understanding of the role of the Multi Agency Child Exploitation meetings (MACSE) and Child Sexual Exploitation investigations.

Please note: The post holder must be willing and able to undertake relevant courses to
enable them to conduct their role including maintaining qualifications in Personal Safety Training and Police Basic Driving.

Successful candidates will be subject to police vetting, therefore must have resided in the UK for the last 5 years.

University qualifications will not be taken into consideration for this role.
