Job description: My client, a local authority based in North Cambridgeshire is looking for Disposal Surveyor to join their team. This is a part time, ongoing agency contract and the successful candidate will need experience dealing with Asset Disposals and identification, preparation for and disposals of surplus assets.

The main purpose of the role is to be responsible for the identification, preparation for, and disposal of surplus assets. The post holder will manage and deliver a programme of key asset and land disposals against clear delivery targets.

The main responsibilities associated with the role are as follows;

Work proactively to assist with the development, implementation and delivery of the client's surplus asset disposal programme, ensuring that delivery and receipts targets are met.
To lead on the disposal of surplus assets including disposals via private treaty, open tender, and the preparation for commercial property auction.
To undertake and supervise the due diligence process, including detailed investigation into legal title and the local plan (planning) status of the surplus assets. Where required, prepare and submit planning applications to enhance potential capital values
To manage revenue and capital budgets for the property portfolio, prepare grant claims and applications, assisting with the preparation of financial budgetary estimates and reporting.
To advise on complex property related projects including property valuation and landlord and tenant matters.
To carry out all types of property valuations, including the preparation of development appraisals.
To undertake 'asset challenge' reviews of the client's property portfolio and provide property advice to ensure the better utilisation of property assets and to minimise liabilities and to maximise opportunities to increase asset value, income or capital values.
To lead on the development and preparation of options appraisals and feasibility studies in respect of the client's surplus property assets.
