Job description: My client, a local authority based in Hertfordshire is looking for a Disposal Surveyor to join their team. This is a full time, temporary ongoing agency contract and the successful candidate will have a full professional qualification with ideally a chartered membership to RICS.

The main purpose of the role is to manage and deliver a programme of key asset and land disposals. This can include open tender, auction and private treaty depending on the specifics of each case.

The main responsibilities associated with this post are as follows;

To undertake and supervise the detailed investigation into legal title and the local plan (planning) status of all classes and types of property assets included within the general fund (non-housing) portfolio.
To advise on complex property related projects including property valuation and landlord and tenant matters.
To carry out all types of property valuations.
To deliver agreed outcomes from asset reviews of the general fund portfolio and to identify new disposal opportunities, seeking to maximise returns to help meet the financial and Asset Management objectives.
To lead on the development and preparation of options including development appraisals and feasibility studies in respect of general fund properties and property related projects.
To contribute to the Asset Review process and towards the continued development of the Asset Management Strategy and implementation of projects deriving from the Strategy.
To proactively assist with the development, implementation and delivery of the disposals programme.
To act as agent in the letting or disposal by sale or lease of all types of property when required.
To identify acquisition opportunities as required.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following;

General practice or client side experience in active/strategic asset management.
Estates Management or similar appropriate degree preferred.
RICS or similar professional qualification preferred.
Project and programme management experience.
Knowledge of town planning, land assembly and disposal.
Full UK Driving Licence and own vehicle
