Job description: Domestic Abuse Specialist Worker (Victim and Children Worker) needed for Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, £17 ltd an hour

Start Date- ASAP
Contract End date - March 2020
Hours per week - 37
Pay rate - £17 ltd per hour

Job Description
*We are looking for a worker who specialises in working with families who are affected by Domestic Abuse and can bring their expertise and experience to this role.
*You will receive referrals from statutory services and work with the victim and children.
*You will manage a caseload where Domestic Abuse is a factor within the family unit or children are experiencing DV within their own relationship, ensuring the child receives an age-appropriate service, individual to their needs
*Deliver high quality intensive support interventions for children and victims who are effected by Domestic Abuse
*To work in partnership with families and other agencies to empower families to make and sustain positive change; therefore reducing the need for professional support
*It will involve facilitating one to one interventions for the child and/or parent, provide joint sessions for parent and child as well as sharing expertise and providing advice and support for our current staff

Experience Required
*To be educated to A-level or equivalent standard
*Experience of working with high risk victims of domestic abuse and experience of specialist assessments of risk and intervention planning
*Experience of providing support to children or young people who have witnessed or experience domestic abuse
*Strong analytical, and planning skills for assessing and reviewing children and young people's needs
*Experience of applying critical reflection and analysis to increasingly complex cases
*Experience of managing an allocated caseload; planning and organising workload to meet statutory timescales
