Job description: We have an excellent opportunity to join our team on a permanent basis. We are currently recruiting for an Electrical and Instrumental Engineer to be based in Bradford.


The Company

Our Bradford site is one of the largest and most productive single site chemical plants in the UK. The site primarily manufactures products used to enhance industrial processing in various industries such as papermaking, mining, oil extraction, wastewater treatment and textile processing.


The Role

You will be responsible for maintaining the sites Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), proof testing, equipment lifecycle, health checks, program back-ups, critical spares and automation security.

*You provide technical support to the E&I maintenance department during SIS proof testing.
*You provide operational support on SIS activation and failures, carry out root cause analysis, ensuring the repair is managed correctly and reporting processes are followed.
*You provide Safety Instrumented System (SIS) support to capital projects, prepare and review SIS documentation, commissioning including factory and site acceptance testing.
*Finally, you implement small modification to existing SIS, ensuring the change is managed correctly utilizing the SPLC's version comparison tools, 4-eyes review, documentation, commissioning and sign off.


You will need;

*You are ideally qualified to HNC level or above in E&I engineering or equivalent.
*You have a strong understanding of Electrical and Instrumentations principles.
*You are experienced in maintaining and proof testing Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
*You have a working knowledge in Hima Safety PLC or Emerson Delta V DCS.


You will be working Monday to Friday (9:00 - 17:30). Suitable candidates will be given a telephone interview immediately followed by a face to face interview.
