Job description: Electrical Design Engineer required ASAP based in Rugby.

This role is on an ongoing agency contract.

The job will primarily include for the electrical design and engineering of Low Voltage
power and of Control and Instrumentation systems that form part of the Plant
Management Systems (PMS).

To self perform the following tasks:
● Low voltage power system specification, design and engineering
● Control system electrical package specification, design and engineering
● Instrumentation and Safety systems electrical package specification, design
and engineering
● Control System specification, P&ID plus associated plant drawings
interpretation, in order to carry out the development, specification, design and
engineering of all noted systems above.
● Production of all associated electrical schedules as required per project.
● Production of all associated electrical installation drawings as required per
project.
● Production of all associated electrical control panel drawings as required per
project.
● Electrical installation budget costing and proposals in-conjunction with main
PMS costing and proposal systems.
● Off and On-site design reviews of electrical and associated plant systems.
● Off and On-site project management/supervision of electrical installation.
● Production and compilation and control of associated electrical data,
configuration and commissioning systems documentation.
● Electrical systems "as fitted" training and handover activities.
● Identify cost-effective Electrical and C&I enhancements leading to efficiency
and productivity gains.
● Project plan and budget cost review/control.

ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES:
● Work in a team environment and happily/constructively engage as a team
member.
● Must be able to work independently as well as within a team.
● Assist colleagues/staff at a technical level where required.
● Work safely and adhere to Permit to Work systems and ability to compile RAMS.
● To conduct all activities in a professional manner at all times and follow
company procedures.
● Ensure that administration requirements are completed on time and all
necessary documents/records maintained accurately.
● Clean Driving licence & happy to travel (UK and ROI).
● Willing and able to work on-site and take hotel accommodation for extended
periods of time (UK and ROI).
● Work to BS7671 - IEE Wiring Regulations - 18 th Edition
● The UK recognised electrical qualification up-to degree level
● Be fully conversant with all manner of electrical documents and systems
● Maintain regular open and honest lines of communication.
● An excellent communicator - written and verbal.
● To work to the Company's Mission Vision and Values and Quality Systems.
● Competent in the use of the Google Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Docs).
