Job description: A Housing Association based in Buckinghamshire is looking for a Service Manager - Electrical to join their team. This is a full time, permanent role and the successful candidate must have a strong background in housing/residential works, ideally extensive experience in planned maintenance and ideally strong management experience.

The key responsibilities associated with this role are as follows;

Manage a team of Electricians to deliver programmed works in customers 'homes.
Deliver a responsive customer orientated service providing value for money.
Manage works and ensure the necessary financial controls are exercised and that adequate resources are in place.
Deputise and support the Head of Service and mentor and support other Service Managers within the Empty Homes department.
Manage operative productivity and work quality and monitor progress by undertaking quality audits of work and materials (in progress and post).
Manage approved subcontractors' performance and compliance with contractual agreements.
Monitor that operatives are maintaining appropriate levels of vehicle stock.
Engage effectively with customers to deliver and improve the service.
Ensure that the team adhere to its H&S process and obligations and actions identified in risks assessments are appropriately prioritised and completed and relevant systems updated.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following Skills/Experience;

Essential:
Up to date knowledge of building construction, repairs and safety legislation.
Up to date knowledge of housing sector best practice and relevant legislation.
Experience of successfully delivering an excellent customer focused repair service.
Experience of leading, managing, developing and motivating operational teams.
Experience of repairs management information systems.
Excellent oral and written communications.
Demonstrates the Guinness Behaviours.

Essential Qualifications;

Relevant Technical qualification - trade NVQ level 3 or equivalent
