Job description: My client, a local authority based in West London is looking for an Estates Manager to join their team. This is a fulltime, ongoing agency contract at the successful candidate will have experience in a similar role.

The main purpose of the role is to deliver a high quality, responsive estate services and to continue the development and implementation of strategic activities to deliver continuous improvement across estate services.

The main responsibilities associated with the role are as follows;

To assist and to manage the teams in place to direct and control all aspects of Estate Services, including Caretaking and Domestic Cleaning, Controlled Parking, Concierge, Grounds Maintenance etc.
To contribute to and to assist work on Estate Services reviews (Caretaking, Concierge etc).
To monitor a customer focused front line service, working closely with technical/maintenance colleagues and contractors, tenancy management colleagues, ensuring tenant and leaseholder customer service standards and customer satisfaction levels are met.
Ensure the delivery of responsive, efficient and cost effective Estate Services, where accountabilities are clear.
Be an ambassador, championing Estate Services, its role and achievements within the council and externally.
Taking responsibility for directorate and corporate cross cutting initiatives and projects.
Working with cross Department officers, to develop, continuously improve, implement and monitor for quality and consistency of application, strategies, policies, business and service plans to cover all aspects of Estate Services, including caretaking, concierge services, controlled parking, grounds maintenance and refuse contracts, and estate safety regimes (play/roads/fire etc).

Successful candidates will need a Driving License, and also have experience is similar roles.
Candidates will have well-developed negotiating skills with a background in estate management, and experience of supervising or training employees.
Desired degree in relevant subject area or HNC, HND qualification would be beneficial.
