Job description: A local authority based in Lancashire is looking for an Estates Surveyor to join their team. This is a full time, temporary ongoing agency role and the successful candidate will hold a full professional qualification in a relevant field, have extensive experience in landlord and tenant issues, commercial estate management and compulsory acquisitions and ideally be a member of a chartered institute.

The main purpose of the role is to provide a professional landlord and tenant estate management service, undertake valuations, compulsory acquisitions and estate surveying duties. This will include managing projects such as Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO) schemes, lease negotiations and compensation claims.

The main accountabilities associated with the role are as follows;

To carry out estate management functions including new lettings, lease terminations, rent reviews and lease renewals and landlord and tenant advice for a range of properties including offices, industrial and retail.
To acquire properties by agreement and under compulsory purchase legislation.
To provide professional advice including valuations, inspections, discussing compensation proposals, negotiations with professional bodies assisting in the timetabling and phasing of purchase and clearance of residential and commercial land and property.
To provide a valuation service including capital and rental valuations and business rates assessments.
To carry out land and curtilage surveys and associated reports.
Delivery to be undertaken in accordance with appropriate professional standards and codes of practice
To assist the Property Services Team where required in implementing any new systems and procedures to ensure clients receive best value
To contribute suggestions/new ideas for improvements to service delivery.

The successful candidate will have a full clean driving licence and ideally experience with RICS Red Book Valuations.
