Job description: Estates Officer, Coalville
A local authority in Leicestershire are recruiting for an Estates Officer to join their Estate Management team in dealing with matters such as land ownership queries, disposal applications, lease renewals and licences in their estates within the Coalville area.

The Role
The focus of the role is to deal with estate issues, such as land ownership queries, disposal applications, lease renewals and licences. Further responsibilities will include:
-Developing and maintaining comprehensive operational and business systems such as databases and other records in support of the Council's asset management function.
-Assisting the Asset Management Group in relation to land transaction applications.
-Monitoring the Council's compliance with various statutory and corporate regulations and standards by ensuring records are accurate and kept up to date and returns are made within required time limits.
-Providing support for the Property Services Manager.

The Candidate
To be successful in this role, it is essential that you have a current driving license and access to your own vehicle, to ensure you are able to cover your patch effectively, furthermore, you will require the following knowledge and experience:
-Ability to interpret complex technical reports, data and plans
-Relevant experience in preparing property related licences and disposals
-Understanding of property leases and licences

The Contract
This is an initial two month contract, working 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
