Job description: Estate Officer, Solihull
An increase in work load has created a vacancy for an experienced Estate Officer to cover a patch in Solihull for a prominent midlands housing association and provide expertise on all estate management matters which includes low level anti-social behaviour and line management responsibilities for a team of five Estate Assistants

The Role
This housing associations' estates cover 10,000 properties, including 37 high rises and 750+ low rises, which will be shared amongst yourself and two other Estates Officers. On your patch, you will be responsible for providing an excellent estate management service and the line management of 5 estate assistants. You will be required to:
-Manage a broad range of estate management issues within a defined geographical area e.g., ground maintenance, (issues with trees), graffiti removal, communal cleaning, boundary disputes, ownership of land, communal keys and fobs, fire integrity, fly tipping, groundwork projects, bulk waste collections, health and safety issues and dog fouling issues.
-Manage low level anti-social behaviour; issues such as fly tipping, animal fouling in communal areas, graffiti and inconsiderate parking
-Ensure that a robust and regular estate inspection regime is in place within your defined areas
-Encourage and promote the recruitment of street and block champions
-Be proactive towards all potential risks to health and safety that may affect staff and customers, particularly the risk of fire in high and low rise blocks and mitigate these risks as far as possible

The Candidate
To be a success in this position, you will be expected to hit the ground running as the work-load will allow for minimal training. You will require significant knowledge and experience of estate management as well as the following skills and experience:
-At least 2 years Housing Management experience
-Sound knowledge of the tools and powers available under the Anti-Social Behaviour Crime and Policing Act 2014
-Working knowledge of the importance of partnership working within the crime, disorder and ASB remit
-Due to the workload, you will have to have a common sense approach and be able to manage your own workload.
