Job description: Executive Chef - Kempston

We are currently recruiting experienced Executive Chef to work in a luxury care home in Kempston for a local housing group .

Role Specifics:
*To oversee and provide direction for all day - to - day operations in the kitchen
* To schedule and co-ordinate the work of the kitchen brigade to ensure that food presentation is technically correct and of outstanding quality.
* To ensure all food and labour costs are managed and within budget
* To fully manage the kitchen to produce and deliver quality food o
* To efficiently ensure the kitchen is organised and delivers the daily work schedule within the time allocated
* To prioritize to ensure important and urgent tasks are completed within their deadline and delegate where necessary.
* Check that all supplies are at the specified quality and not breaching purchasing policy as outlined by Purchasing
* To comply with all H&S legislation and procedures including but not limited to College HACCP systems and COSHH regulations.

It is essential when applying for this role that you have the following skills and attributes
*Experience of working as a Head Chef within a luxury environment ( or Nursing )
*Knowledge of catering to the elderly and the importance of nutrition and fortified diets where appropriate.
*Level 2 Diploma in professional cookery


The working hours are 40 hours per week. On a rota pattern.
