Job description: A fantastic client of mine is recruiting for a Facilities Assistant based within a stones throw from the NEC and Birmingham airport.

Your main purpose will be to support a high quality of Facilities across the group to staff and visitors in accordance with the Groups Facilities Strategy.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.To welcome members of the public, staff and other visitors to the Groups Central Services Office.

2.Answering telephone calls and taking appropriate action to ensure that enquiries are left with the relevant person / department

3.To ensure effective communication with customers and throughout the company

4.Acting as first point of contact for visitors and visiting staff members, allowing site access and ensuring that appropriate people receive their staff

5.Assist in the management and running of both the Hard and Soft Services for all office premises held by the business

6.To assist in the receiving, scanning and distribution of post throughout the business

7.Taking delivery and sorting of parcels, including monitoring and recording of certain items

8.Regular checking of all meeting rooms and communal areas to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and professionalism throughout the building

9.To ensure that all consumables are filled and readily available for staff use.

10.Carry out and record all statutory general building checks as requested on a weekly, monthly or quarterly basis, including the management of the PPM Tracker

11.Report any building related faults to appropriate contractors in a timely and effective manor, following through to completion

12.Manage contractors with regular maintenance visits, manage their works completed on sites and attend contract meetings where required

13.Issue and maintenance of Access Control System to include issue of new passes, alterations and deletions when required

14.Complete building related Risk Assessments - including COSHH

15.Provide Administration support to Facilities Team when required.
