Job description: A Local Authority based in West London is looking for a Corporate Buildings Facilities Manager to join their team. This is a full time, temporary ongoing agency role and the successful candidate must have a full relevant FM qualification, experience dealing with Corporate Buildings, extensive experience with Hard & Soft services and ideally a strong background in Local Authority projects.

The main purpose of the role is to oversee the budget and programme delivery of Hard and Soft FM Services operating within the clients Corporate buildings, Schools, Day Centres etc.

The main responsibilities associated with the role are as follows;

To report to the Head of Commissioning & Business Development on all aspects of the effective programme delivery of maintenance (PPM), compliance, remedial, reactive works, security and cleaning across the borough including corporate landlord responsibilities for schools
Be responsible for building and property related Health and Safety matters across all corporate sites. This includes ensuring fire risk assessments and fire safety strategy including training of fire wardens and management of fire drills.
Ensure that the maintenance contractor is compliant with all relevant legislative governance and aims to exceed all current Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and best practice.
Ensuring that the FM contractors meet strict deadlines, KPI's and SLA's aiming to exceed expectations.
To manage the function so that the services provided are responsive to customer requirements, accessible to all areas of the community and provide value for money.
Oversee the Facilities Management department (In-house team and Out-sourced contractors), insuring timely delivery of the full range of SLA to the stakeholders, corresponding to the contractual obligations and corporate policy and governance.
To motivate, train, develop and performance manage staff to maintain an effective workforce capable of meeting its objectives.
Responsible for the Service Level Agreements

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following competencies/attributes;

Degree or relevant experience in similar position
Full UK driving licence and own vehicle for business use
Working knowledge of relevant Health, Safety and Welfare legislation and approved Codes of Practices.
Contract Management of an FM performance regime
Experience of monitoring FM contracts
Knowledge of procurement.
Experience in managing the provision of FM soft Services (Cleaning and Security) and general building management experience

The client is looking to move quickly with appointing to this position and as such, are offering £30 p/hr Umbrella ltd (approx. £720 NET p/week after deductions) for the duration of the role.
