Job description: Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Family Support Workers in a Children's Social Services Department. This position will be based in Croydon.

You will need to have the following skills to be considered for this role-

-Be able to provide direct support to children, young people and families considered to be at risk of harm, working jointly with social workers where appropriate.
-To be able to work with family members or as a group on a planned programme to prevent a break down ion the family, rehab of looked after children, family/child development.
-To carry case responsibility for families and children in need who are not on the Child Protection Register.
-To carry case responsibility for children subject of Care Orders.
Main activities will include-

-Providing emotional and practical support for children, young people and families during periods of stress.
-Assisting and supporting families and young people in their contacts and communications with other agencies.
-To act as escort / driver when necessary, as part of planned work with a family and occasionally with other agencies.
-Directly working with Children
