Job description: Family Support Worker needed for Worcestershire County Council, £12.50 ltd an hour

Start Date- ASAP
Contract End date- 6 months initially
Hours per week - 37
Pay rate - £12.50 ltd an hour
Location - Worcester

*To work with a caseload of challenging families to provide comprehensive, pro-active and intensive support packages which promote, strengthen and develop the potential of families enabling them to live successfully in their community.
*Use the Common Assessment Framework (CAF) to work together with families and other agencies to identify the causes of concern affecting the whole family.
*As a result of using the CAF, develop, co-ordinate and where appropriate directly lead (lead professional) on working with children, young people and their families as part of family support plan.
*Working assertively with families, actively seek to empower families to gain and maintain control over all aspects of their lives.

What is required?
*Knowledge of current developments in social and health care.
*Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, including Maths and English Language
*Qualification in NNEB, NVQ in care or other relevant area of social care is desirable.
*Relevant experience within Family Support Work
