Job description: Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Liverpool City Council, we are looking for experienced Family Support Workers to join a busy Early Help Team.

The role is a full time position working 35 hours per week and is working on a specialist project targeting teenagers at risk of breakdown, working with these young people on an intensive weekly basis to provide intervention and stabilise care arrangements to prevent escalation to care.

The project is initially for 3 months to be reviewed for extension following this time.


The pay rate for this role is £13.06 hourly.

Key features for this exciting role include:
-To work within the Early Help service, preventing escalation and enable families to develop their own strategies.
-To work flexibly with parents and families to identify any additional support needs.
-Develop effective relationships with parents and carers.
-To work directly with families who have been subject to statutory interventions and then 'stepped down' early to prevent re escalation and enabling families to be able to self support.
-Support families to develop, enhance and practice positive parent - child relationships.

The ideal candidate will have:
-Experience or direct work with children and families, assessing level of needs and providing support within their homes.
-An enhanced DBS.
-A full driver's license and access to their own vehicle.
