Family Support Worker to work in our Homes for Ukraine Team

In Redbridge we are proud of our Children & Families Service, which was rated as outstanding in the last OFTED inspection 2019. Joining us will give you the opportunity to participate in the continuous development of a multi-agency service that is innovative and creative and constantly improving services to meet the needs of its residents and vulnerable families and children. You will receive supportive management and access to quality learning, development, and research materials. Families Together Hub is the Early intervention arm of Children Services, and you will be working in a "whole family approach" way.

We are seeking a Family Support Workers to be part of a team working directly with Sponsor and Ukrainian visitors who have applied for Visa's under the Governments Homes for Ukraine Scheme within Redbridge. This scheme allows individuals, charities, community groups and businesses in the UK to bring Ukrainians to safety, including those with no family ties to the UK.

The role involves working with colleagues from all areas of the Council involved with the scheme to offer a seamless service to both sponsors and visitors. You will be coordinating support for the needs identifies when visitors arrive and assist them, through locally identified services, to integrate into the community. This offer will also be extended to adult visitors who do not have children.

This would be an ideal opportunity individuals experienced in working with vulnerable families and children. An ability to speak Ukrainian or Russian would be an advantage but is not essential to the role.
