Job description: Job Title: Finance Assistant
Work and Interview Location: Sevenoaks, TN13
Contract Type: Temporary
Weekly Hours: 37 Hours
Possible Interview Dates: To be confirmed
Start Date: ASAP (Candidates must be available immediately)

Key responsibilities

*Purchase Ledger (data entry and filing)
*Accurate recording and monitoring of all payment files and cheque payments.
*Efficiently run refund process with settlement and checking cheque payments with high attention to detail.
*Provide information and comply with internal and external management reporting requirements.
*Contribute to the provision of accurate and timely information internal/external auditors in line with company policy and procedures.
*Identify and escalate any know issues and conflicts to Line Manager.
*Ensure all notifications are sent to the relevant team on a daily basis.
*Ensure all suspense items are allocated and cleared down on a daily basis.
*Maintain accuracy of filing systems.
*Adherence to contractual obligations, in particular legal and regulatory requirements

Essential experience and pre-qualification criteria

*Educated to GCSE level or equivalent (to include English and Maths)
*MS Office including previous experience of Excel & Outlook
*Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*Knowledge of basic accounting techniques and principles
*Proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritise workload
*Evidence of strong ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
