Job Description

A Local Authority based in London is looking for a Finance Officer to join their team on an initial 3-month basis. The post holder will support the development, maintenance and review of budget monitoring, control, reconciliation and reporting in conjunction with Core senior staff and operational managers and to contribute to the continuous improvement of departmental systems in line with financial best practice as required by the Senior Finance Manager/Finance Manager. They will also accurately record and update associated systems, carry out invoice approval and maintain records of financial activity.

Ideal Candidate

  • Prior experience of working in a Local Authority finance team preferred
  • Experience of budgets, financial data and invoicing
  • Experience of using computerised financial systems and spreadsheets to and advanced standards
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative with great communication skills
