Job description: Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting the following position for one of our well established Local Council clients within Bradford:

Finance officer

They are looking for a suitable candidate to fulfil a full-time temporary contract and are offering a basic hourly rate of £10-11.25 depending upon experience.


This post will include a range of responsibilities including:
*Credit control, including bank account reconciliation as well as other general banking arrangements.
*Reconciling income streams between purchase ledgers and receipting systems.
*Liaising with departments and services. Communicating with officers who complete financial processes but do not work with the financial services.
*Responding to service queries in relation to income receipting, coding and banking queries.
*Assisting the finance department with a range of aspects including; collection fund accounting, statement of accounts, capital accounting, vat and financial reporting.
The ideal candidate will have:
*AAT or AAT part qualified, or Previous experience of the role at a similar level within the public sector
*Experience within finance with a local authority
*Previous bookkeeping experience
*Experience in contributing to the production of financial accounts and working papers
