Job description: Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Financial Investigator to work within the police based near Portishead.

The main responsibility of the role will be to investigate serious and organised criminals affecting the communities of the South West regional Police Forces, maximising the use of the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002, the Drug Trafficking Act 1994 and Criminal Justice Act 1988 in relation to the identification and confiscation of assets.

Candidates must have worked for a UK based police force in order to be considered. University qualifications will not be taken into consideration.

Overview of role:

-To investigate offenders within the provisions of the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002, the Police Reform Act 2002, the Drug Trafficking Act 1994 and the Criminal Justice Act 1988.
-Plan and prepare financial investigations, present case material including disclosure of unused material and prepare financial statements and attend for Court if necessary.
-Investigate money laundering disclosures made by financial institutions under the relevant acts.
-Provide guidance and support to Zephyr in all matters relating to financial investigation, Special Procedure Production Orders, POCA production orders, search and seizure warrants, customer information and account monitoring orders.
-Develop and maintain close liaison with SOCA, HMRC, Financial Investigators in other Forces and other agencies to assist in successful prosecutions and ensure the defendant is deprived of any benefit from crime.
-Deal with enquiries from other jurisdiction received in accordance with the Criminal Justice (International Co-operation) Act 1990 if required.
-Provide specialist support to major investigations in relation to financial enquiries

A full driving licence will also be required for the role.
