Job description: Floating Sheltered Scheme Coordinator
A large housing association are recruiting for a Permanent Floating Sheltered Scheme Coordinator to deliver excellent scheme and facilities management to sheltered housing customers across a patch in London.

The Role
The focus of the role is to provide cover for staff absence at various sheltered housing schemes across the London area. However, the role is much more than that as you will also become involved in helping residents with all kinds of housing management and tenancy issues, liaising with other agencies and ensuring the safety and security of both the residents and schemes.
This will include the following tasks and responsibilities:
*Flexible to provide floating cover for staff absence in sheltered housing schemes across a geographical patch as required
*Demonstrate a team focussed approach, providing and planning cover on the patch during periods of staff absence
*Ensure when covering that the sheltered housing scheme is well run and that the building is safe and secure for residents
*Provide a basic housing management advice service to customers including rent arrears, repairs, anti-social behaviour and tenancy issues, obtaining information from or referring more complex matters to other staff as required
*Referring residents to specialist agencies (e.g. Social Services Departments) for additional support where there is a well-being concern, liaising with such agencies to provide support with safeguarding cases across the patch
*Facilitate letting our empty homes by arranging and supervising viewings and supporting with sign up's as required
*Lead on health and safety matters including fire safety across the patch as and when required
*Ensuring repairs and faults are quickly remedied and that a range of contractors deliver to a high standard
*Work with internal and external colleagues with regards to the appropriate delivery of volunteer support and well-being services
The Candidate
To be considered for this role, you will require previous experience in the management of sheltered housing. You will need great organisational skills, a natural empathy for building relationships with older people and the ability work successfully with a range of other organisations. A key member of the Sheltered Services Team, you will need to be a strong team player who is able to communicate well with their colleagues and be willing to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

*A salary circa £19,500 to £21,500 per annum
