Job description: Role: Fostering Social Worker x 2
Location: Ipswich & Lowestoft (Suffolk)
Rate: £28PH
Term: 4 Month ongoing Full Time

The successful candidates will work with a specialist team of Social Workers and Practitioners to deliver a high-quality service to Suffolk Foster carers. The Short Term Fostering Team supervises and supports foster carers ensuring the needs of Children in Care are promoted effectively through their foster carer.

They will be allocated cases and will facilitate support groups and learning opportunities for these carers.

Experience/ Qualifications required:
* Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years post-qualifying experience in child protection and children in care.
* Experience working in fostering.
* Social Worker qualification at degree level or equivalent.
* Evidence of continued professional development.
* HCPC registration.
* Current enhanced DBS certificate valid to work with children.

- SCS will offer £150 to Qualified Social Workers sourcing their own job and referring it to the agency!

- SCS will pay up to £250 each year to help with your Continuing Professional Development.

- SCS will pay a "Thank you" bonus to Qualified Social Workers after each 12-month period they complete with SCS.
