Job description: Fostering Social Worker
Nottingham City Council
3 Month Ongoing
£25+ per hour

To provide support and management to foster carers arising in the fostering service, This post carries caseholding responsibilities We are home working at present and this is reviewed regularly in-line with government guidelines.

1. To deliver good outcomes for children and young people through the undertaking of supervision of foster carers and support of Adopters and Special Guardians pre and post order and children post adoption order.

2. To ensure delivery of good outcomes for children through taking referrals completing timely assessments and implementing effective service plans for children and carers.

3. To maintain professional case records, inputting timely and accurate records onto the Department's information systems and accessing information from relevant registers.

4. To support homefinding and matching activities to ensure that children do not experience drift.

5. To work flexibly within the service and as a Social Worker across the Children in Care Service as part of the Safeguarding Directorate as appropriate and directed to develop the quality of services, ensuring a child centred approach and ensure plans for children are progressed in a timely manner.

Candidates will require the following:
- Social Work Degree
- DBS
- HCPC Registration
