Job description: My Client, a digital agency who deal with augmented reality products, are looking for a Front End Developer on a permanent basis in Manchester.

My client are needing a front end developer to help deliver groundbreaking products over a number of ongoing and new projects. My client work with many large brands, tech companies and retailers, delivering groundbreaking augmented reality products. They are looking for someone who is able to undertake a variety of tasks and is motivated by learning new skills to solve problems as they arise. You should be just as happy specking a new REST API endpoint, as talking to customers to discover their current requirements.

Candidates should be happy understanding and solving problems across the different layers of my clients technology stack. You will be working closely with teams across the company, so effective communication skills are essential.

This will be a varied role as part of a growing team. We are looking for someone who is able to undertake a variety of tasks and is motivated by learning new skills to solve problems as they arise. You should be just as happy speccing a new REST API endpoint, as talking to our customers to discover their current requirements.

You should be comfortable understanding and solving problems across the different layers of our technology stack. You will be working closely with our computer vision developers, graphics team, backend team, product manager, dev-ops manager and product designer. Excellent communication skills are essential.
Requirements

We are looking for someone with experience of delivering successful commercial projects. You should be comfortable working as part of a team of developers, managing the quality of your code and using agile processes, tools and workflows to ensure you are targeting your effort effectively.

Required skills:

* Experience with vanilla JavaScript (ES5 + 6), coding best practices and CSS preprocessors (SASS).
* Experience building large projects with modern javascript frameworks (e.g. React, AngularJS).
* Sound understanding of OOP principles and how to employ them at scale.
* Unit and functional testing are second nature to you.
* Skilled in creating solid, clean, hand-coded HTML and CSS.
* Experience with build tools (e.g. NodeJS) and task runners (e.g. Grunt, Gulp).
* Understanding of and enthusiasm for W3C standards.
* Enthusiasm and passion for what you do and a desire to learn and continue to improve!

Nice to have:

* Knowledge of CSS animation based features (keyframes, transitions etc.)
* Experience using TypeScript and Angular 2.
