Full Stack JavaScript Developer

Job description: My Client, a company focused on engineering across the globe, is currently looking for a Full Stack Developer with a JavaScript focus to join their team near Belfast.

The company use a combination of engineering design, and research and development using industry-leading R&D, state-of-the-art test facilities, in-house manufacturing and quality control. The team are focused on developing the next generation of products and systems for the power industry.

*** PLEASE NOTE: The Company is able to assist with re-location packages for this role from the UK Mainland (flights, temporary accommodation, and car pool for transport to work) ***

Role and Responsibilities

The Full Stack Developer will be responsible for full-stack, client-side and server-side development of new and existing web-based products using JavaScript. This will include their next generation platform focused on monitoring and fault location applications. This will involve working in a team to develop software and unit tests, following an agile methodology.

Duties will include;

* Integrating existing software and developing new software solutions;
* Creating technical specifications and test plans;
* Participate in manual end to end system QA testing;
* Ensuring product quality through unit testing, system testing and continuous integration;
* Investigating new technologies and continually updating technical knowledge and skills;


* Degree in Computer Science/ software engineering or equivalent discipline.
* Deep understanding of JavaScript - minimum 3 years in application development.
* Linux experience
* Strong knowledge of client side JS frameworks such as React.


* Strong knowledge of node.js and associated web frameworks (e.g. express.js, io.js, sails.js, meteor.js, mean.js)
* Experience using unit and component test frameworks (e.g. Mocha, expect.js, Robot)
* Experience in designing/creating test automation processes for client and server side.
* HTML5 knowledge
* Knowledge of web-app building and releasing process (e.g. Grunt, Gulp, Webpack).
* Basic relational database knowledge
* Agile working experience with continuous integration
