Job description: Support Workers required in the Norfolk area! Full time 40hrs per week!

Service Care Solutions are looking for a number of Support Workers to commence work within the Norwich locality. The roles are full time 40 hours per week for a minimum of 3-months with a view to extension/become a permanent. The role will be paying up to £7.50 per hour PAYE.
Purpose of Job:

To provide high quality care to all service users as directed by, and under the supervision of a House Leader. To mentor and support basic level care assistants and take an active role in the management of individual working shifts.

Main Responsibilities:
Management & professional
*To conduct care for service users and management of staff in keeping with the ethos and values of the organisation.
*To maintain standards of confidentiality regarding all aspects of care and management of staff.
*To act as a conduit for communication between management and carers including any breaches of discipline or inappropriate behaviour.
*To encourage and exemplify the highest standards of care practices, professionalism and propriety.
*To delegate responsibilities as appropriate within approved boundaries.
*To maintain independence and objectivity, to ensure that staff are directed in a way which relates only to the care needs of the service users.

*To have appropriate knowledge of, and be able to use, any equipment within the site and to check its usability in accordance with any guidelines or procedures
*To be conversant of emergency procedures pertaining to both service users and staff
*To respond to the medical, physical and emotional needs of the service users
*To liaise with both staff and residents to ensure good care is promoted and best practice is followed at all times.
*To liaise with relatives in all aspects of a resident's care as appropriate in the absence of the general manager.
*To monitor and promote service users' hygiene and self-care
*To assist service users in preparation of meals, and assist with household chores
*To assist service users with their daily / weekly budgeting, shopping, and health promotion
