Job description: One of the largest housing associations within the UK is recruiting in Kentish Town for a General Manager to drive high-quality care and support in one of their mental health focussed services.

The Service
This role is based within a 24-bed mental health rehabilitation service in partnership with C&I, and supports adults with mental health such as schizophrenia and personality disorder. There are approximately 29 members of staff which .

The Role
The focus of this role is to provide an effective and flexible housing management service (independently or supporting housing officers in the team), which can include estate management, sign up of new tenancies, tenancy support and management, nuisance and anti-social behaviour, assistance with rent arrears and service charge management and resident involvement
In the position, you will have the following tasks and responsibilities:
*Deliver HCS Mental health service specification for The Service
*Work proactively with our funding organisations (LA and CCG) to ensure timely service delivery and data requirements.
*Work proactively with our partner organisation C&I FT to deliver an excellent service.
*Directly line manage a local management team, monitoring staff development through supervisions, appraisals and training to assist them in delivering a high quality service.
*Effectively manage housing and building services, void management, building maintenance, including day to day repairs ensuring key performance targets are monitored and met.
*Oversee CPA processes to ensure smooth care planning for out of area customers. Ensuring all pathway issues are managed and monitored effectively.
*Oversee the referral process including assessments, funding agreements, move-in and settle in of people into the unit.
*Ensure CQC compliance.
*Deliver quality assurance; including performing regular audits and liaison with the CQC quality and compliance team.
*Oversee the Property's Health and Safety and Fire Safety compliance.
*Effectively manage customer engagement through meetings, activities and events to ensure high level customer satisfaction.
*Effectively manage the referral route which includes sourcing new referrals from new sources. Actively promoting the service and ensure voids are kept to a minimum.
*Ensure financial targets are achieved

The Candidate
To be considered for this role, you will require a minimum of two years' management experience within Mental Health. You will also require strong experience of housing and facilities management including voids, lettings and arrears.
Other important criteria includes:
*Knowledge of CQC registered care management and CQC Compliance
*Ability to solve problems whilst managing complex projects.
*Ability to set and deliver objectives and ensure we obtain good measurable outcomes.
*NVQ Level 4 or 5 in health and social care or willing to enrol immediately
*A professional registration or qualification in mental health or psychology would be beneficial however

The Package
This is a full time, permanent role, working 9-5 Monday to Friday.
The salary for the role is £38,000-£40,000 + bonus scheme up to £8,000. £500/£1000 can be earnt for targets achieved in each area such as budget, occupancy, income, arears, training, agency usage, CQC inspection.
