Job description: Grade: Admin Band 8b, for a General Manager
Hours: 09:00 to 17:00 (37.5 hours a week)
Start date: 17th June

Job Purpose

The post is pivotal to the transformation, development and success of the Adults & Specialist Rehabilitation Division and is a key role in supporting the unified model of clinical and managerial leadership in achieving clinical excellence.
The post-holder will be jointly expected to deliver and pro-actively manage the performance of clinical services, deliver transformational change and identify service development opportunities whilst maintaining robust business contracts associated systems.

Main Duties

 The post-holder will be responsible for the performance, management and operational delivery of services within an allocated clinical group.
 The post-holder will support the Division in the commissioning of service opportunities and delivery of excellence across all areas. This includes the required business development to support and sustain commissioned activity.
 In collaboration with the Deputy Divisional Director and Clinical Leads, the post-holder will provide accurate business information and support the robust planning of clinical services to meet the required national access targets and the successful delivery of Trust and Commissioner KPI's.
 Work with the Divisional Director Nursing & Therapies, Clinical Director and Divisional Director to develop the strategic overview for continuing quality improvement within the clinical groups providing leadership and management support to staff to enable change. This includes setting the direction, facilitating strategic discussion, engaging the clinical workforce, establishing the agendas for action, motivating people and anticipating issues.
 The post-holder will support the senior management team to ensure consistently high standards and service delivery are developed and implemented in designated areas of responsibility, promoting a strong work ethic.
 Establish effective working relationships and clear communication pathways with the internal and external stakeholders, including clinical and management colleagues, contractors and partners and other staff to ensure continuity and delivery of high quality service delivery and to share and disseminate information.
 Engage in local and national policy formulation about how the Division can be developed, supporting the Clinical Strategy, Integrated Business Plan and benchmarking with other similar services.
 Work with the senior management team to develop clinical services, providing costed business cases as required, thereby enabling innovation and ensuring high quality provision to service users.
 To ensure the senior management team proactively manage RTT and 18 weeks targets in line with clinical prioritisation of need. The post-holder is required to ensure that changes in reporting requirements to all commissioning groups are managed
