Job description: We currently have 20 vacancies available to work on EAU, A&E, Elderly Care and General Medicine wards at North Cumbria University Hospitals!

These roles are available for a mixture of days, nights and weekends with competitive rates available with an immediate start!

Your main duties and responsivities on A&E/EUA wards will include the following:
-Experience of working within an A&E or ICU department
-Understanding triage
-Ability to quickly and accurately make assessments about incoming patients - identifying the problem, documenting medical history, checking for any allergies, checking for vital signs, etc.
-Time management skills
-Ability to comply with NHS protocols, procedures and safety policies

Working on the elderly wards you will be required to:
- Provide and monitor the nursing care for a designated group of patients during a care episode.
- Support the provision of the highest quality patient care through personal actions and continuous improvement.
- Support the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse in ensuring the delivery of high quality patient care.
- Actively contribute to an effective learning environment
- To administer patient medication according to Trust Policy

You MUST have:
- At least 12 months previous nursing experience
- A degree or equivalent in nursing
- An up to date NMC registration
- A thorough understanding of policies and guidance related to for example: infection control, hygiene and individualised patient needs.
