Job description: Role: Interim Head of Health and Safety
Location: Nottingham, NG2
Work pattern: 37 hrs, Mon - Fri
Start date: ASAP
Contract Type: 3 - 6 month ongoing contract

I'm looking for the next Group Head of Health and Safety for a local Housing Association. The purpose of this role will be to provide strategic Health and Safety direction and advice ensuring safe systems of working across the company at all of these locations. You will be accountable to the board for the operational delivery of the service - managing resources to achieve continuous improved performance, increased productivity, and improved value for money. You must have previous experience of managing and delivering a high quality health and safety service within the housing sector. You will be required to visit various company locations across the Nottingham area and as such a full driving license and access to vehicle will be necessary

Key Responsibilities
*You will provide strategic advice and guidance to the three Boards and Executive Management Team on all areas of Health and Safety including fire, construction and employment.
*You will ensure the effective health and safety management systems in place to manage all related risks.
*You will build effective partnerships with colleagues, contractors service professionals and the Fire Brigade to ensure effective service provision.
*You will develop and maintain effective Business Continuity arrangements for all areas of the company.
*You will own the company risk management framework and insurance policies.
*You will manage a team of four including three risk management officer and one part time administrative assistant.
*You will support the EMT to lead, manage and develop the Company as a whole.

*You will have previous experience of managing and delivering a high quality health and safety service within the housing sector.
*You will have knowledge and understanding of legal framework relating to health and safety including CDM, fire safety, asbestos and legionella.
*You will have previous experience of delivering a continuous improvement to health and safety within a diverse community.
