Job description:
Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Health and Safety Advisor to work in London on a temporary contract within the NHS.
Full time role working Monday to Friday 9-5
Pay rate £21.29PAYE an hour (paid via an umbrella company weekly)
Job Role
*To manage the day to day application of the Trust's non-clinical Health, Safety and Risk Management policies across the Trust.
*To carrys out regular risk assessments on all Trust buildings for compliance with Health and Safety legislation and NHS Guidance, including display screen equipment assessments.
*To work closely with the PFI Partners to ensure that all non-clinical risk areas are subject to regular risk assessment and appropriate controls are in place.
*To participate in investigations into adverse incidents incidents/near misses and assist in carrying out root cause analysis and learning from experience reviews to produce recommendations on control measures to prevent reoccurrence.
*To work closely with the Trust's Clinical Governance Team, Moving and Handling Coordinator and Occupational Health Team.
*To ensure that the Trust's Non-Clinical Risk Leads and Staff Representatives of Health & Safety carryout risk assessments on all identified significant risks and produce action plans and implement suitable control measures.
Essential
*NEBOSH Certificate in Health & Safety Qualification
*Good knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and best practice.
Desirable
*A basic qualification in Health & Safety or 5 years' experience in a safety related field
*A minimum of 5 years' experience in a healthcare environment
*A formal training qualification
