Job description: A housing association based in Nottinghamshire is looking for a Health & Safety Officer to join their team. This is a full time, ongoing agency contract and the successful candidate must hold a relevant qualification (IOSH, NEBOSH etc.), have experience in a similar Health & Safety role and ideally experience within a housing/residential setting.

The main purpose of the role is to manage and develop the company's health and safety policy, including training of managers and staff in Health and Safety compliance.

The main responsibilities associated with the role are as follows;

To continually review the systems and processes employed in the delivery of the company's services and ensure that managers are aware of the latest health and safety legislation relevant to their areas of work.
To identify areas of improvement and, develop and deliver bespoke training to enable mangers of the company to comply with their health and safety obligations.
To coordinate and act as the company's CDM coordinator, and discharge the company's duties under the current CDM regulations.
To ensure the Company's obligations are discharged in respect of Legionella, including developing and delivering an effective monitoring and remediation process.
To ensure the Company's obligations are discharged in respect of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, including annual site compliance checks, and developing and delivering an effective monitoring and remediation process.
To investigate accidents resulting from the company's activities and recommend and supervise improvements to the processes used.
To conduct annual health and safety checks of the company's operating premises.

The client is looking to move quickly with appointing to the role and is offering up to £18 p/hr Umbrella Ltd for the duration of the contract.
