Job description: Band 3 Health Care Assistants (HCA) are required for a fantastic opportunity to join specialist Mental Health Allocation service based in Ipswich within the NHS.

Applicant must be a car driver as home visits will be required across Ipswich and surrounding areas.

Temporary pay rate: £12ph ltd

Hours and length of contract:
*Full time 37.5 hours per week
*Flexible hours required due to the demands of the post
*The manager is looking for the position to be filled ASAP with an initial 3 month contract length.
Daily Duties:
The team offers support for people who have been violent or aggressive in their GP practice and the Special Allocation Scheme is a Directed Enhanced Service to provide general medical services to patients.

The role will be mainly admin based but you will be required to conduct home visits across locations such as: Bury St Edmunds, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, Kings Lynn, Lowerstoft and Colchester.

Key duties include:
*Opening up/locking up of SAS premises
*Act as the first point of contact for the service and respond appropriately to callers which may include high risk, abusive, threatening, depressed, suicidal and vulnerable service users and carers
*Deal with queries raised by patients, relatives, GPs and other healthcare professionals.
*Deal face to face and on the telephone with service users and families seeking help and information
*Record accurate messages and follow them up
*Manage the System One appointment and rota systems
*Enter details of new and temporary registrations and patient information
*Type correspondence and reports and transcribe minutes
*Take responsibility for the safe storage and security of prescriptions
*Manage petty cash taking responsibility for security and reconciliation

Person specification:
The applicant must be DBS cleared and have previous experience in the field.
