Job description: Hearing Impairment Specialist Teacher, Permanent

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Permanent Hearing Impairment Specialist Teacher in Hillingdon, West London

The Salary for the role is £41,600 - £45,225 P/A

This is to work Full Time hours and to start ASAP.

Essential Requirements:
*Current and Enhanced DBS
*Qualified teacher of hearing status or equivalent
*Qualification in BSL or willingness to undertake training
*Ability to travel around the Local Authority area and neighbouring boroughs

Duties will include:
●To manage an allocated caseload of children and young people, using appropriate assessment models, a variety of intervention styles e.g. specialist advice to children, parents/carers and professional staff, and/or direct teaching, individually or in groups, according to need.
●To model good practice in teaching and learning when leading professional development in relation to teaching and learning for children and young people with hearing impairment, ensuring positive promotion of disability equality.
●To support and lead on new developments and promote strategies to secure broad, balanced and relevant opportunities for children and young people with hearing impairment.
