Job description: Home Improvements/Disabled Facilities Team leader required ASAP based in Bracknell.

This role is an ongoing agency contract.

This post is within the Disabled Facilities Grants Team and in the wider Welfare & Housing Service area. The client are looking for an energetic, motivated self-starter who will ensure the effective delivery of home adaptations (funded through Disabled Facilities Grants and Home Improvement Loans) to customers in their homes.

You will manage a small team of Technical Officers to ensure that the Council's statutory duties and responsibilities relating to the provision of Disabled Facilities Grants are met. The Team Leader will also manage a Sustainable Energy Officer who provides advice and assistance on improving energy efficiency in homes and facilitating Home Improvement Loans.

You will possess sound technical knowledge including an understanding of the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996. You will ensure that the service complies with appropriate Health and Safety legislation and other relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks.

The role will require a knowledge of contract administration and contract management and previous experience of line management responsibilities of a DFG Team.
